Amazon.com Product Description

The Sony Trinitron KV13FS100 WEGA television is completely flat vertically and horizontally, which provides a sharp three-dimensional picture that’s virtually distortion free. This 13-inch set is a great choice for use in the kitchen or your vacation cabin. It features a 4:3 aspect ratio, a three-line digital comb filter (usually found on higher-end models), and a component-video input.

Sony’s three-line digital comb filter compares consecutive horizontal scanning lines within a video frame and uses digital circuitry to make adjustments, providing outstanding picture quality with sharp, crisp edges, while virtually eliminating dot crawl. The KV13FS100 also features a dynamic picture processor, which maintains image detail in very bright and dark areas of each scene.

The built-in stereo speakers are positioned on the side and produce 3 watts of power apiece. The KV13FS100 has an component-video input (rear), 1 RF input (rear), 2 A/V inputs (1 front, 1 rear), and a headphone jack.

What’s in the Box

Last of a great dying breed! 5
This 13 inch Sony has a top quality picture with OK sound.Got the last one at Circuit City for 99$.Salesman said they (Sony) is just about to get out of the CRT TV business. What a shame. These Sony’s have a great picture that is even better than my 36 inch JVC.DVD,Digital Cable, and even better on a dish.Keep making a sweep of the BB’s and CC’s just in case they have another one for that price I’ll grab it up just to have a spare.Great things do come in small packages!Best picture on any 13 inch i’ve seen in my years of TV buying.

Great little TV! 5
I needed a small TV for my bedroom and this Sony delivered on all fronts. The picture quality is outstanding - crisp and vivid, without any of the artificial edge-enhancement on found on many analog televisions that I find so distracting. I went to a brick-and-mortar electronics retail chain to scout out small TVs, but kept coming back to the Sony because of the picture quality. It’s certainly a fair deal more expensive than other TVs of similar size, but you do seem to get what you pay for.

Inputs are plentiful, including a component input on the back, which is surprising on such a small set. There’s a channel labeling option so you can name your stations and a favorites button that lets you quickly surf to any of five preset channels, making channel surfing a breeze. Pushing and holding the channel up or down button will speed through channels in the direction of your choice. It’s also pretty trivial to adjust picture and color temperature to your liking; the menus are easy to navigate, unlike a lot of other cheaper sets I tried out. Sound easily fills a small room, but of course isn’t concert quality or anything.

Finally, the remote is nicely sized and idiot-proof. It’ll take you all of a minute to get used to it. I’m not sure if this will matter to anyone, but the remote is wider at the bottom, which allows it to stand upright on a nightstand or desk. Styling is subjective, but I think the Sony looks pretty good compared to its competition. This is an inexpensive TV that doesn’t look cheap. The only feature that’s missing is auto closed-captioning when the TV is muted, but this isn’t a deal breaker in my mind. Until all our signals are pristine, digital HDTV quality, we’ll have to live with the analog signals we get. I’m happy to say that this TV handles the latter really, really well.

Sony Lover 4
This is a great TV for the bedroom. I have it hooked up to a DVD/VCR combo and it all works great together. Highly recommend.

A lot in a small package 4
I purchased this TV for the bedroom and it fits perfectly on the dresser. The dimensions were exactly what I needed.

The TV has the SONY name and quality behind it. What more can I say? The reason for the 4 Stars is only because I’m used to larger SONY TV’s with larger than life sound. Although this is a smaller model, it has excellent picture quality and the sound is pretty good. I have enjoyed listening to relaxing music CD’s and it was a good idea for SONY to include a headphone jack. I currently own 2 Sony TV’s and 2 SONY DVD/VCR units. The most recent unit is a DVD Recorder w/VCR (also purchased from amazon.com)

A little dark, but otherwise great! 4
I bought this tv for playing older video games that don’t look good on a HDTV. Overall, it serves it’s purpose quite well. The picture is vibrant, crisp, and very detailed. The only problem I have with the TV is that it is a little dark. This can be remedied by adjusting the brightness in the game. However, the tv doesn’t have a very wide range of adjustment itself. Some games, where there are no brightness options, are unplayable on this TV. Still, it is a much better option than the cheaper no name and underfeatured TVs that are available. It has component hookups, and that’s why I bought it.
