Customer reviews
Good solid product — well built, good speaker power for size
Though a little pricier than some other portable CD/Cassette/Radio
recorders, this is a good solid product.
Good — for the money
It’s OK for the money — I don’t think you will do better for the price. The sound is not nearly as good as, say, the Bose Wave Radio, but that costs $500. The Mega Base feature gives the audio an artificial, honking, shrill sound that I find annoying so I do not use it. I find voice quality on the unit to be quite good and better than other, similar units I have had. Music quality is a bit of a let-down. The remote control has several extraneous TV/video functions on it; I don’t know why. (Push, push, push . . . No pictures!
) Don’t lose the remote — some functions are not on the main unit and are only available through the remote.
Sweet
I bought this Sony product and it is wonderful! The tone is great and I like it to because of its unique shape. If you want a very, very good product this is it. And even though it is a portable there is nothing light about the sound it produces. It is heavy enough to have great sound.
Beats the competition
For the price, I think it’s an incredible bargain. It looks really cute, it’s modern and not over the top. It’s also compact and the cd sound quality is quite good. The radio is digital i.e doesn’t use a dial so that is pretty cool as well. It comes with a remote but I haven’t used it and it also has a cassette deck player which I have used either. I primarily use it at work to listen to the radio or cd’s and it fits nicely on my desk without taking up a lot of space and I have received lots of comments on how nice-looking it is.
Most other boomboxes in the same price range can’t rival this in terms of features, quality, looks or any other category. Recommended.
perfect size and style
great little player. love it so far. this was the only compact good looking player I could find for my kitchen top. only gripe is that it doesnt have mp3 support.
