CD Text Transfer from CD to MiniDisc, One Touch Recording, Jog Dial, and much more. Sony made this system a perfect match for MiniDisc users who demand more despite a limited amount of space. It also allows for simple storage of station frequencies in convenient presets. CD Text displays text from encoded CDs on the unit’s display. Text can include song/disc title and artist information, as well as disc genre (Jazz, Classical, Rock, etc.). Bass Boost enhances the low frequencies of any music selection, deepening the bass response and enhancing listening enjoyment. Bass + Treble Controls allow you to adjust the bass (lower) and treble (higher) frequencies of the music to your own individual listening tastes. 8x Oversampling is a circuit that combines excellent phase linearity with superb suppression of digital noise, resulting in better and more natural sound and imaging. MiniDisc offers many advantages over cassettes, with the flexibility and convenience of a digital format. Clock controls all timer functions and puts the time just a touch of a button away. Random Play shuffles and randomly plays every track in complete random order without repeating a single track, until all selections have played. Multiple Repeat Modes allows you to repeat a track, a program of tracks, or an entire disc, all at the touch of a few buttons. 20 Track Programmable Memory allows for custom playback of only the tracks on a disc you want to hear, in the order you want to hear them. You can program up to 20 steps (tracks) in any order.

Great System
Awesome quality. Great for making minidiscs when i did. Had it for a couple of years now and still like new through some good use. A+++ recommendation.
Makes recording MiniDiscs a breeze!
After shopping around for a cd-minidisc recording system, i decided on this one and was pleasantly surprised. this is one of the only systems of its kind that i’ve seen in the states, and it makes recording minidiscs a breeze. one of the best features it has is the synchro-recording feature that lets you pop in any CD and a blank minidisc, press a button, and it makes a digital copy of the CD to the minidisc! The unit itself is well laid out, as is the remote control; its easy to control play functions, label minidiscs, and even label CDs (the unit can be “trained” to recognize up to 20 different CDs and display their titles). Also, the speakers are good and have high volume output. if you want to, they get very loud. And the unit itself is very slick and nice looking. The only problem i had is its relatively large size (check the dimensions). but the speakers, which take up most of the space, are really good. I recommend this system for anyone who wants to make digital copies of CDs to minidiscs, and wants excellent playback also!
