Sony’s world-famous Trinitron picture has never looked better. A digital comb filter automatically processes the incoming signal with digital circuitry for best picture with minimum dot-crawl distortion. Velocity Modulation Scanning sharpens picture definition by varying the beam scanning rate to give every object a sharp, clean edge. The 2-tuner Picture-in-Picture with Freeze Memo allows you to freeze what’s on-screen and view it in the PIP window while programming continues on the main screen. It’s ideal for noting website addresses, phone numbers and contact information on-screen.CRT Amplifier provides better high frequency response in black levels for darker, more definitive lines at the higher end of the video spectrum. The Auto Channel Programming feature automatically locks active channels in memory for scan-tuning convenience that allows for manual Channel Add/Erase. The Speed Surf Channel Selection “Rapid Fire” channel change allows viewer to quickly scroll through channels. Channel Fix automatically sets the TV to a specific channel (i.e. 3) for cable box control, allowing the viewer to control the cable box via the TV remote control. Channel Caption allows you to program up to 12 channels with their call letters for on-screen display. The TV is also equipped with the Monitor Output that lets you transfer the program you’re watching to a VCR; S-Video output can also be crossed to direct (composite) video output.

Great Audio
Along with the wonderful trinitron picture tube, this TV has great sound. Most people forget to check the sound package on a TV before they bring it home. This TV is one of the best.

Sony Wins Hands Down in Display Quality
There are certain things that I always consider worth the splurge; a quality car so that I’m never stuck by the side of a road, a really good pair of shoes to save me from blisters, and Sony display equipment.

The computer monitor and television market are both ruled by Sony on the high-end and for good reason. Sony’s Trinitron tubes are remarkable and display vivid colors with the least possible amount of distortion in the picture. Until we can all afford the Sony Wega - this is the television to own. I’m very happy with all of my Sony Trinitron-based products and will continue to exclusively purchase them over others.
