AMAZING
There is only one word I have to say…AMAZING. Though I haven’t seen anything in HD yet, the picture on regular DVD that are not upscaled are great. I have seen regular DVD and analog channels on other tvs, and they are horrible. The image just looks blurry really bad frome a distance and upclose the pixels are visible. I was cautious because the set is 1080p which is even more, nut no. The television actually upcales the image itself. The only time it is possible to see the pixelation on a 480i source is when your standing around 2 feet to the screen on a 52in set. The color look better then I have seen on any other.

This Tv is very stylish too. Glossy finish with a very nice glass bordering on it. It looks great when on a stand, but when mounted on the wall, this tv is better. The speakers are almost invisble.

The features are great. IT is possible custom widen on a source because even widescreen movies are in theater wide which is more than 16/9. You can get rid of the bars completly. Or if watching a 4/3 source, you can watch it in 4/3 or put in wide zoom which makes it 16/9 wiithout making th image look streched. A lot of adjustment to make the picture look better or fit your room and style. I messed with a little. since with my old tv I messed it up completly amd hit reset and left it there.

If you are worry the price is too much for you, then you should probably go with the Bravia V-Series which is cheaper but highest size is 46, and it less stylish, and few less features. I Own the 52 anda 40 V-serie and I am more than happy with them.

Bravia XBR3
I recently purchased this from a local dealer in Chicago. This tv is amazing. I had it professionally installed with a home theater system and wish I would have done it sooner. The picture is great - even with regular stations - HD is even better. Settings and calibration are easy - lots of recommended custom settings on the internet. Piano black finish is neat and clean. 1080p ensures that this set will keep up with advances for years to come. 52″ screen makes it just like you are at the movies.
