Extremely Happy
I have had mine for two years and do not have one complaint. The price was high at the time, but the Receiver has not disappointed me. It has plenty of outputs/inputs (especially) digital for a beginning to an intermediate level home theater system. I have not heard any hissing sounds. I am currenlty expanding my components and due to the 3 digitial inputs, am having no problems. The specs. say it has Pre-amp outputs, but I don’t see them.

Good value
I bought mine when the receivers capable of DTS and Dolby Digital were still a new and expensive commodity. When this model came out it was a real price break through for we people on limited budgets. I have had no problems (including hiss) with mine and I really enjoy it for dvds and cd’s both. I bought good cables, have some decent Infinity speakers and it will go as loud as you want. There are likely as good or better products available NOW in this price range but, at the time it came out this was an really good value for the buck.

Would have given it 5 stars but……
the remote is useless in the dark…glow in the dark remote…shessh…multi function remote which only works if your eyes are 20/20 and all the lights in the room are on….

otherwise I love it and I would have given it 5 stars so the choice is yours…

I shopped around here in canada and this was the best value for the buck. It sounds great and the features go on and on. Great remote and I am very happy.

good but hissy…taking it back
Really sounds great, but the speakers hiss way more than they should. I’ve seen this complaint by others on other sights as well. I bought mine last night and I’m taking mine back.
